blushers galore!!

I recently celebrated my 18th birthday and I woke up to find two new blushers, waiting for me. Now they weren't the most exciting of colours, one of which is probably one of the best known blushers around, BUT I believe that when you find the perfect blusher, it will be a friend for live. I am currently still looking for my perfect colour tone. But enough of my rambling, let's get to the review's!!!

The first, is the said well known blusher... NARS orgasm. Now this blusher is pretty darn good. It is easy to apply when using the right brush (i used the MAC 116), is a pretty pink colour with vibrant coral undertones and after using it on a couple of my friends, it seems to suit pretty much any skin tone. Before this blusher, i have been using Benefit's coralista which i did like, however it annoyed me that when sweeping my blush brush into this product, it crumbled and i always seemed to have more product on my dressing table than on my brush! Now i didn't know if this was just my technique but when I used orgasm, it was like moving my brush across silk (it sounds stupid but trust me!). Sooooo my conclusion... maybe ive found my perfect blush?! I'll get back to you in the next few weeks with how it's going ;)

The second was one of MAC's cream blushes, in the colour Ladyblush, a hot pink colour. Now in magazine's this season, all the makeup looks seem to be focussing on achieving natural dewey skin. Cream blushes are the product to use to achieve this! When applied, it gives the cheeks a glowing effect, like your natural blushing rather than caked in pink product, which no matter how hard you try never really looks that natural. At first i struggled applying the cream blush onto my cheeks, however in my opinion the best way to do it is to use a brush with soft hair and apply a small dab of product onto the apple of your cheeks and an even smaller dab across your cheekbones. Then... blend blend blend. You could use another blush brush, but do not use the brush you used to apply the product initially. Personally, i prefer to use my fingers to achieve the perfect look and then use a large powder blush at the end to get rid of any harsh lines. And a tip for those with oily skin using cream blushes, apply a small dusting of similar coloured powder blush over the top to prevent your skin looking damp, rather than dewey!

Sooo that was my two cents of blushes, and of course, I'd love to hear your thoughts about your blush best friend!
